2026 befasst sich die große Sonderausstellung „Rembrandt 1632. Entstehung einer Marke“ mit dem wohl prägendsten Jahr im Leben des berühmten holländischen Künstlers. Obwohl Rembrandt zu den meisterforschten Künstlern des 17. Jahrhunderts zählt, bleiben manche Aspekte seines Schaffens im Dunkeln. Das betrifft auch die Zeit um 1632, die sowohl stilistisch als auch biographisch durch Umbrüche geprägt ist. >br/<
Ziel der Ausstellung ist es, zentrale Werke dieses Jahres in ihren künstlerischen und historischen Kontext zu stellen. Varianten, Kopien und Werkstattarbeiten werden im direkten Vergleich gezeigt, um stilistische Entwicklungen und Produktionsweisen sichtbar zu machen. Kunsttechnologische Analysen eröffnen neue Einblicke und laden zur vertieften wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung ein.
